JEE Main 2020 – All That You Must Know

Eligibility Criteria

First of all, let’s discuss the eligibility criteria which has been specified by the authorities of JEE.  Here are three considerations:

  1. Age

There is no age limit as such for the exam. Candidates must be qualifying the age limit set by the institute which they wish to take admission into.

  1. Year of Appearing in the Exam

    Candidates who have cleared their Class 12th in 2018 or 2019 are eligible for this exam.
    Also, the candidates who are appearing for Class 12th Exams in 2020 are eligible for JEE 2020.

  2. Education Qualification

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 subjects in their Class 12th with Maths and Physics as compulsory.

Attempts in a Year

Candidates can appear for JEE twice in a year. Given below are the details pertaining to both the sessions of the exam- Session January 2020 and Session April 2020. Have a look:

JEE Exam Pattern

The JEE Exam comprises 3 parts: Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III.

Paper-I pertains to B.E./ B.Tech admissions; Paper-II to B.Arch admissions; and Paper-III to B.Planning.

Paper-II consists of 3 parts: Part 1 being Maths, Part 2 being Aptitude Test and Part 3 being Drawing Test.

The duration is 3 hours for all the exams respectively.

The number of questions in the exam depends on the Paper which the candidate is appearing for.
